Job Title: Clerical Assistant

This position will go hybrid 2 days at home/ 3 days in office after the first 6 months.

Summary/Objective:
-Performs a variety of clerical and customer service tasks related to medical verification, as directed by the Supervisor.

-Run daily reports to verify attendance for initial medical appointments.
-Confirm initial visits with medical providers and ensure billing information is accurate.
-Request initial evaluation and diagnostic reports, distribute them to the appropriate staff once received.
-Fax weekly attendance logs and input attendance or discharge dates for all medical appointments.
-Make daily calls to facilities to confirm attendance and gather future appointment information for any outstanding attendance logs
-Update and maintain the database with new information obtained from calls and reports.
-Contact providers daily to collect necessary documents for files, including PT reports, prescriptions, signed Plans of Care, and other documentation. Save and distribute documents as needed.
-Assist in managing utilization for specialized accounts.
-Document case files appropriately, noting all calls, issues, and reports received.
-Ensure personnel, client, donor, and volunteer files are securely stored, maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
