We are seeking an experienced Cleanroom Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Hayward, CA. This full-time onsite role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing professional with cleanroom, packaging, parts cleaning, or semiconductor-related experience.
The Cleanroom Technician will support the cleaning, bake out, inspection, packaging, and preparation of customer parts made from materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, copper, quartz, ceramic, titanium, bronze, anodized aluminum, and nickel. Key Responsibilities
- Perform bake out processes for customer parts requiring drying after wet cleaning.
- Clean parts using approved methods, including physical cleaning and IPA wipe procedures.
- Assemble, test, clean, mark, package, and protect customer orders according to specifications, prints, photos, travelers, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Handle and package components carefully to ensure proper protection and sealing for final shipment.
- Maintain cleanroom standards, housekeeping routines, and a safe work environment throughout the shift.
- Work with a variety of metal and specialty material parts while following quality and safety requirements.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $20 to $25 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Location: Hayward, CA.
- Work arrangement: Full-time onsite position.
- Schedule: Must be available for rotating shifts from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
- Training schedule: Candidate will work 1st shift during training.
- Regular position schedule: 2nd shift.
- Perform cleanroom cleaning, bake out, part preparation, and final packaging activities.
- Follow customer specifications, travelers, photos, prints, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain cleanroom housekeeping, safety compliance, and product protection standards.
- Package daily production parts accurately and carefully to support quality and customer requirements.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant manufacturing, cleanroom, production, or related experience.
- Ability to follow detailed and sometimes complex instructions with strong attention to detail.
- Basic computer and cell phone skills for recording and sending data.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to wear required safety equipment for extended periods, including cleanroom garments, boots, coveralls, head covering, steel-toed safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
- Ability to work in cleanroom attire for an 8-hour shift.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to support required shift schedule and training needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous cleanroom or semiconductor manufacturing experience.
- Experience packaging metal parts or precision components.
- Familiarity with parts made from stainless steel, aluminum, copper, nickel, anodized aluminum, or similar materials.
- Experience working from travelers, prints, customer specifications, work instructions, or standard operating procedures.
