Job Summary

We are seeking a Claims Intake Administrator for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Overland Park, KS. This role supports a Risk & Insurance claims team by managing the intake, documentation, routing, and processing of claim information with accuracy and efficiency.

The Claims Intake Administrator will play an important behind-the-scenes role in keeping claim files accurate, complete, and moving through the proper workflow.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive, review, and process new claim information submitted from branch locations.
- Follow up with internal stakeholders to obtain accurate and complete claim documentation.
- Set up and maintain claim files within an RMIS platform according to established procedures.
- Report claims to insurance carriers or third-party administrators as directed.
- Review, document, attach, and route claims-related correspondence, including medical bills, legal notices, adjuster communications, and supporting documentation.
- Code and process invoices while ensuring proper claim association, documentation, and file organization.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $50,000 to $55,000 per year.

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0 to 2 years of experience in an administrative, insurance, claims intake, data entry, or customer service role preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Ability to quickly learn claims management and document management systems.
- Strong data entry accuracy, document handling, and recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to review, classify, organize, and route claims documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer service mindset with the ability to work effectively with internal partners.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

- Associate degree preferred.
- Previous experience processing documents, mail, invoices, customer requests, or insurance-related paperwork.
- Prior exposure to insurance, claims administration, risk management, or RMIS platforms.
- Experience maintaining records across multiple systems or document management tools.
