We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Civil/Structural Engineer – Department Manager to lead and oversee complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a proactive approach to delivering high quality results in demanding industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the design, analysis, and technical review of civil and structural engineering projects
• Participate in the development of all required engineering deliverables for each project
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative, safe, and cost effective solutions that meet client specifications
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers
• Ensure all work complies with applicable engineering codes, industry standards, and best practices
• Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution activities
• Conduct site visits, field evaluations, and oversee construction activities as required
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in civil/structural engineering, preferably within Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas preferred
• Demonstrated success managing complex projects from design through construction
• Strong working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and engineering software
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem solving skills
