Litigation Paralegal – Personal Injury (Downtown Location)
A well-established personal injury law firm in downtown is seeking a skilled and professional Litigation Paralegal to join the team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in handling all phases of litigation in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Case Intake & Investigation
Gather initial facts from clients, witnesses, and experts
Organize and analyze documents, photos, contracts, and correspondence
Conduct background checks and public records searches
2. Legal Research & Writing
Research statutes, case law, court rules, and procedural requirements
Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery documents for attorney review
3. Discovery Process
Prepare interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
Review and summarize depositions, medical records, and expert reports
Organize discovery responses for opposing counsel
4. Trial Preparation
Create trial binders, witness lists, and exhibit lists
Prepare subpoenas and coordinate witness appearances
Assist with jury instructions, voir dire materials, and trial exhibits
5. Court Filings & Case Management
File documents with the court (electronic and in-person)
Track deadlines and court dates using case management systems
Maintain and update case files for easy access
6. Client & Third-Party Communication
Serve as a point of contact between clients and attorneys
Coordinate with opposing counsel, court staff, and vendors (e.g., court reporters)
Qualifications:
3–5 years of civil litigation experience (personal injury preferred)
Strong knowledge of court procedures and deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office
