Job Summary
A growing software company in Shreveport, LA is seeking a Chief Technology Officer Software, also aligned with a Vice President of Technology leadership role, to guide technology strategy, software delivery, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and technical team development. This is a full-time, direct hire, on-site opportunity for a hands-on technology executive who can connect business goals with scalable, secure, and high-performing technology solutions.
This role offers the opportunity to shape the technology roadmap for a fast-growing organization with strong leadership support, a collaborative team environment, and meaningful influence over product direction and operational success. The ideal candidate will enjoy leading people, improving systems, driving innovation, and working closely with executive leadership to support long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s technology vision, roadmap, architecture strategy, and long-term technical direction.
- Lead software engineering, product delivery, DevOps, infrastructure, security, and technology operations teams.
- Oversee software architecture, development, testing, deployment, system performance, scalability, and continuous improvement.
- Build, mentor, recruit, and retain high-performing technology teams while promoting accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
- Manage cybersecurity programs, risk management, disaster recovery, business continuity, vendor relationships, and technology partnerships.
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, technology investments, acquisitions, partnerships, and growth initiatives.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $75,000 to $110,000 per year.
- Bonus potential available.
- Employment type: Direct hire, full-time.
- Work arrangement: On-site in Shreveport, LA.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead technology strategy, software development execution, infrastructure operations, and cybersecurity initiatives.
- Manage multiple technical teams, software product delivery timelines, architecture decisions, and large-scale technology projects.
- Develop technology budgets, evaluate ROI, optimize resources, and communicate progress, risks, and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
- Establish software development, Agile, DevOps, quality, security, and operational best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive technology leadership experience.
- 5+ years of experience leading software development teams and technology organizations.
- Proven experience managing multiple technical teams and complex technology initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, networks, systems, and technology operations.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and project management frameworks.
- Ability to translate business needs into practical, scalable, and secure technology solutions.
- Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable operating as both a strategic executive leader and a hands-on technology problem solver.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in SaaS, software product development, or technology-driven organizations.
- Experience overseeing cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Background scaling teams, platforms, and processes within a high-growth company environment.
