Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Senior Director of Operations – Women’s Health Telemedicine Practice Start Up

Salary: 150K-200K (base salary), commensurate with experience. Performance-based incentives and potential for profit share.

Remote (U.S.-based), with overlap to Pacific Time business hours for team collaboration. Founded in Los Angeles, CA.

We’re seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) / Director of Operations to lead and scale all clinical and business operations of our women’s health telemedicine practice. This is a hands-on leadership role for a strategic operator who can optimize daily workflows, ensure clinical excellence, and build the infrastructure for our next phase of growth.
You will work closely with the founding partners and Medical Director to align operations with our mission, to manage a distributed team, and drive continuous improvement across compliance, finance, and service delivery.

Experience:
- Operations Leadership in Healthcare: 3–5+ years of experience in an operations management or leadership role within a clinical, healthcare, or telehealth setting. You have overseen day-to-day operations in environments such as medical practices, clinics, or health-tech startups, with a track record of improving efficiency and service quality.
- Healthcare Compliance Knowledge: Strong familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards (HIPAA, privacy laws, clinical licensing, etc.) and experience ensuring organizational compliance. Experience implementing policies for quality assurance and patient safety in a healthcare environment is highly valued.
- Team Management: Demonstrated experience in building and managing teams, including hiring, training, and performance management. Experience leading remote or distributed teams is a plus, as our operations are fully remote.
- Financial and Analytical Acumen: Hands-on experience managing budgets, resources, or operational KPIs. Comfortable analyzing operational metrics and financial data to drive planning and improvements. Experience with project management and process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) is beneficial.
- Startup Adaptability: Previous experience at a startup or in a fast-paced, growth-stage company is strongly preferred. You understand the challenges of a startup environment and can wear multiple hats, pivot quickly, and create structure in ambiguity.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required. Advanced degrees (MBA, MHA, or similar) or relevant certifications in healthcare management are a plus
