Location: Shreveport, LA
Pay: $20–$25/hr DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time

Overview:
A well-established law firm in Shreveport is seeking a Certified Paralegal to join its legal team. This position requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with proven experience supporting attorneys in litigation, document preparation, and client interaction. Candidates must hold a current paralegal certification and demonstrate strong knowledge of legal procedures and terminology.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct legal research and assist in drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
Prepare and organize discovery materials, trial binders, and exhibits
File legal documents electronically with state and federal courts
Interview clients and witnesses, and summarize findings for attorney review
Maintain and update case files, calendars, and deadlines
Assist attorneys in trial preparation and courtroom logistics
Ensure confidentiality and compliance with legal ethics and firm policies
Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel
Track billable hours and assist with timekeeping and invoicing
Qualifications:

Certified Paralegal (NALA, NFPA, or ABA-approved program) – required
Minimum of 2 years experience in a legal office or law firm
Strong understanding of civil litigation and legal procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software (e.g., Clio, MyCase, or similar)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
