We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our growing firm in a key leadership role. This position is ideal for someone who is not only strong technically, but also passionate about building processes, mentoring a team, and contributing to the long-term success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide accurate and timely bookkeeping services for individuals and small businesses
Manage tax resolution cases, including offers in compromise, installment agreements, and communication with tax authorities
Prepare and review individual and business tax returns in compliance with IRS and state regulations
Review and sign off on all tax returns prepared by staff to ensure accuracy and compliance
Assist with audits and respond to IRS and state tax notices
Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for tax preparation, client onboarding, and internal workflows
Train and mentor tax preparers and administrative staff on accounting processes, tax software, and compliance standards
Collaborate with leadership to improve systems, workflows, and overall client service
Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and team support
Contribute to the growth and development of the firm’s services and operations

Qualifications:

Active CPA license in California (or eligible for reciprocity) – required
CTEC certification – required
Bilingual Spanish – required
Minimum 3+ years of experience in tax, bookkeeping, and/or public accounting
Strong knowledge of tax preparation, tax resolution strategies, and accounting principles
Experience reviewing and approving tax returns prepared by others
Proven ability to create SOPs and improve internal processes
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Drake Software, and other accounting/tax platforms
Strong leadership, communication, and training skills
Ability to lead and support a small team effectively
Long-term mindset with a desire to grow within and help build the firm
