Job Title: Cable Assembler III
Contract: Temporary (possible temp-to-hire)
Location: Poway, CA
Reports To: Client Services Supervisor/Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Cable Assembler III to join our Client Services Team. Under general supervision, you will perform complex electronic and mechanical assembly work, including wiring, soldering, cable harness fabrication, and component installation. The role requires strict adherence to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Pay & Shifts
1st Shift: 5:00 AM – 2:30 PM — $25.96/hr
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 12:30 AM — $27.26/hr
Responsibilities
Assemble components, assemblies, and subassemblies to detailed specifications
Perform setup and adjustments while maintaining required tolerances
Build electronic assemblies (cables, harnesses, chassis, PCBs) and mechanical assemblies (panels, LRUs, batteries, servo motors)
Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble units as needed
Follow all safety procedures and quality standards
Assist in training junior assemblers
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years of relevant assembly experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, wire lists, and specifications
Familiarity with tools: hot tweezers, soldering equipment, calipers, tape measure
Knowledge of soldering and compression connection tools
Basic computer skills
Strong attention to detail and color recognition
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to work overtime as needed
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Preferred: Soldering certification
