Job Summary
A direct hire opportunity is available for a CPA, Staff Accountant, or experienced accounting professional in Roseville, CA within the real estate and property management industry. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including financial statement preparation.
- Process and review Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll transactions, and payroll reconciliations.
- Prepare profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and related financial reports.
- Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and help ensure accurate accounting records in compliance with GAAP.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, and process improvements across accounting and finance functions.
Compensation and Benefits

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Manage general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities.
- Prepare financial statements, profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Support AP, AR, payroll accounting, audit preparation, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Maintain accurate financial records while supporting process improvements and GAAP compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a 4-year in-person program required.
- 5+ years of accounting experience required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and accounting controls.
- Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll support, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using accounting software or ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, problem-solving ability, and deadline management.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with internal departments.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification preferred.
- Experience in real estate, property management, or related accounting environments preferred.
- Experience with Yardi, Management America, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar ERP/accounting platforms preferred.
- Prior experience supporting audits, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement initiatives preferred.
