Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage tax engagements for a range of clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality advisory service.
- Review complex tax returns and provide strategic tax planning guidance to clients.
- Coach, mentor, and develop tax team members through hands-on support and constructive feedback.
- Build strong relationships with clients, partners, managers, and cross-functional team members.
- Support a culture of learning, curiosity, accountability, and open communication.
- Help maintain balance and team effectiveness during busy season through proactive planning and leadership.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Lead tax engagements and manage client deliverables from planning through completion.

- Review tax work, provide tax advisory support, and ensure high-quality client service.
- Mentor and coach tax team members while supporting professional development.
- Build trusted internal and external relationships that support long-term client retention and team success.
- Active CPA license is required.
- 6 to 10 years of relevant tax accounting experience preferred.
- Solid experience leading tax engagements and tax teams.
- Strong technical tax knowledge with the ability to advise clients strategically.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a coaching-focused management style.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and client service skills.
- High emotional intelligence, humility, curiosity, and a team-first mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative public accounting environment with a focus on quality and balance. 



Preferred Qualifications
- Experience serving clients in real estate, construction, or professional services.
- Experience with high-net-worth individuals.
- Experience with multi-state tax returns.
- Background in a relationship-driven public accounting firm environment.
