Job Summary

A Costing & Pricing Analyst is needed for a 13-week temporary assignment in St. Paul, MN. This role supports pricing, costing, financial analysis, margin evaluation, and data-driven business decision-making in a professional office environment.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced analyst who enjoys working with detailed financial, operational, and pricing data. The role offers a focused temporary assignment where you can contribute quickly, partner with cross-functional teams, and provide meaningful insights that support profitability and pricing accuracy.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, managing deadlines, identifying discrepancies, and communicating findings clearly to internal stakeholders. This on-site role is well suited for someone who values accuracy, collaboration, and practical financial analysis in a deadline-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze and implement cost and price changes to support accurate pricing, profitability, and margin objectives.
- Maintain pricing records, cost data, pricing conditions, expiration dates, and related financial information.
- Conduct cost, margin, sales, market, and competitive pricing analysis to identify trends, risks, and savings opportunities.
- Model the financial impact of proposed pricing and cost changes and present actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Prepare pricing, cost, and performance reports for business reviews, pricing initiatives, and operational decision-making.
- Support pricing process improvements while ensuring compliance with company and department policies.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $55.00 per hour.
- Assignment length: 13 weeks.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Work arrangement: Fully on-site in St. Paul, MN.
- Travel: None.
- Contract-to-hire: No.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Analyze costing and pricing data to support profitability, margin improvement, and business decisions.
- Maintain accurate pricing and cost records, including updates, conditions, and expiration dates.
- Prepare financial, pricing, cost, and performance reports for internal stakeholders.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to answer pricing-related questions and support process improvements.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in pricing analysis, cost analysis, financial analysis, or a related business function.
- Hands-on experience working with pricing data, costing data, financial analysis, or operational data.
- Advanced spreadsheet and data analysis skills.
- Strong mathematical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to analyze financial, operational, sales, market, and competitive pricing information.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain insights clearly.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with ERP or accounting systems, particularly SAP.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, product costing, or supply chain environments.
- Experience with standard cost updates, variance analysis, and overhead allocation.
- Experience supporting pricing strategy, profitability analysis, or margin improvement initiatives.
