Job Summary
We are seeking CNC Professionals for direct hire opportunities in Orlando, FL. This role is ideal for skilled machining candidates with hands-on experience in CNC milling, CNC lathe, Prototrak conversational milling, or grinding who want steady second shift work in a precision-driven manufacturing environment.
CNC Professionals in this role will set up, program, and operate advanced machining equipment to produce high-quality parts to tight tolerances. The environment is team-focused, safety-minded, and quality-driven, with supportive leadership, strong communication, and a clean, climate-controlled shop. This is a great opportunity for machinists who enjoy technical problem-solving, print interpretation, tooling decisions, and taking ownership of quality from setup through final inspection.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, Prototrak-controlled milling machines, or grinding equipment based on assigned role and experience.
- Write, edit, troubleshoot, and adjust machining programs using G and M code or conversational controls.
- Select tooling, inserts, speeds, feeds, offsets, work coordinates, and probing routines to support efficient and accurate production.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical documents, and GD&T callouts to produce parts to print.
- Perform in-process and first article inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, CMM, and other precision measurement tools.
- Maintain work orders, time sheets, clean work areas, safety standards, and proactive communication with leadership regarding job status, tooling needs, and quality concerns.

- Pay range: $27 to $30 per hour.
- Schedule: Second shift, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Set up, program, and operate machining equipment including CNC mills, CNC lathes, Prototrak mills, or grinding equipment.
- Troubleshoot CNC programs, machining processes, tooling issues, and dimensional concerns.
- Produce precision parts within tight tolerances and customer specifications.
- Perform inspection and documentation to support quality and production requirements.
- 1 to 2 or more years of machining experience required.
- Hands-on experience in one or more of the following required: grinding, Prototrak milling, CNC milling, or CNC lathe operation.
- Working knowledge of G and M code programming required for CNC Mill and CNC Lathe roles.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents required.
- Experience selecting tooling, managing offsets, and making program adjustments to meet print dimensions.
- Ability to use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM as needed.
- Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and commitment to quality and safety.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to coolants, oils, metal chips, dust, and moderate to high noise.
- Fine motor skills, close visual attention, and ability to perform occasional bending, reaching, and repetitive hand motion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Prototrak conversational controls for milling.
- Experience with Fanuc, Milltronics, Okuma, or similar CNC controls.
- Experience operating 3-axis or multi-axis CNC machining centers.
- Experience with CNC lathes, including 2-axis and live tooling configurations.
- Familiarity with tool offsets, work coordinate setup, probing routines, inserts, boring bars, and tooling selection.
