Job Summary Required Qualifications and Skills
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer, Aerospace for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Valencia, CA. This 1st shift role is ideal for a precision machining professional with strong Mastercam programming experience and a background producing tight-tolerance aerospace components.
In this role, you will program, set up, and operate CNC Mills and/or Lathes in a quality-focused aerospace manufacturing environment. This is a strong opportunity for a skilled machinist who values stable work, technical challenge, teamwork, and the ability to contribute directly to high-quality aerospace production. The environment is best suited for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, follows detailed procedures, and works well with engineering, quality, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam for precision aerospace components.
- Set up and operate CNC Mills and/or CNC Lathes to produce parts to blueprint specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, work instructions, travelers, and technical documentation.
- Select tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining sequences to improve quality and efficiency.
- Perform offsets, tool changes, troubleshooting, and program adjustments during production.
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $35.00 to $40.00 per year.
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Schedule: 1st shift.
- Location: Valencia, CA.
- Program CNC Mills and/or Lathes using Mastercam.
- Set up and operate CNC equipment for aerospace component production.
- Machine precision parts to tight tolerances and blueprint requirements.
- Inspect completed parts using precision measuring instruments.
- 6 to 10 years of CNC machining experience.
- Strong Mastercam programming experience is required.
- Aerospace or precision machining experience is required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, work instructions, and travelers.
- Experience selecting tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining sequences.
- Skilled in offsets, tool changes, troubleshooting, and program adjustments.
- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and related inspection tools.
- Understanding of aerospace quality standards, safety procedures, and AS9100 requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an AS9100 aerospace manufacturing environment.
- Experience machining complex tight-tolerance aerospace components.
- Ability to support process improvements, reduce cycle times, and optimize machining efficiency.
