A growing aerospace and defense manufacturing environment in Camarillo, CA is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist Programmer for a direct hire, on-site opportunity. This role is ideal for a hands-on CNC professional with strong Haas mill and lathe experience, Mastercam programming skills, and the ability to set up, program, and machine precision components from drawings, work orders, 2D prints, and solid models.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up, program, and operate Haas CNC mills, CNC lathes, and related machining centers to produce precision aerospace and defense components.
- Machine forgings, castings, and bar stock using operations such as turning, facing, boring, drilling, milling, tapping, reaming, threading, grooving, grinding, sawing, and EDM.
- Create, modify, and prove out CNC programs using Mastercam, machine controls, 2D prints, solid models, and work instructions.
- Perform in-process inspection using precision measuring instruments to verify parts meet required tolerances and quality standards.
- Provide feedback on programming, manufacturing planning, tooling, fixturing, and safe, efficient machining methods.
- Maintain accurate production records, support operator training, and keep machines and work areas clean, organized, and production-ready.
Compensation and Benefits
- Direct hire opportunity.
- Pay range: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- On-site role in Camarillo, CA.
- Required daily overtime Monday through Saturday.

- Create and revise CNC programs using Mastercam, 2D prints, and solid models.
- Perform quality checks with measuring and inspection tools to ensure tight tolerance compliance.
- Support program prove-outs, tooling decisions, fixturing needs, and process improvements.
- 6 to 10 years of CNC machining and programming experience preferred for this level of role.
- Strong experience with CNC mills, CNC lathes, turning centers, and machining center operations.
- Proficiency with Mastercam and the ability to write programs at the machine.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, 2D prints, and solid models.
- Experience using DNC systems or related tools to load and manage CNC programs.
- Knowledge of precision inspection methods and tools used in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
- Ability to perform self-quality assurance and verify parts against required tolerances.
- Must be able to meet ITAR requirements.
- Must pass background check and drug screen in accordance with federal and FAA guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, problem-solving ability, and commitment to meeting production standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Manual lathe and manual mill experience.
- Experience designing or supporting tooling and fixturing.
- Aerospace and defense manufacturing experience.
- Experience assisting with training CNC setup operators or turning center operators.
