Job Summary Required Qualifications and Skills
We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist, Aerospace for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Valencia, CA. This role is ideal for a skilled machinist with 3 to 5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes in a precision manufacturing environment.
This position supports aerospace production where quality, accuracy, and attention to detail are critical. Candidates can expect a team-oriented shop environment with a strong focus on safety, documentation, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision aerospace components.
- Machine parts to tight tolerances according to blueprints, GD&T, travelers, and work instructions.
- Perform tool changes, offsets, and basic program edits as needed to maintain part quality and production flow.
- Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Work with aerospace materials including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel.
- Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation while following AS9100, safety, and quality standards.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $30.00 to $40.00 per year.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: 1st and 2nd shift opportunities available.
- Location: Valencia, CA.
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or CNC lathes in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Produce aerospace components to blueprint specifications and tight tolerances.
- Inspect machined parts and document production and quality results.
- Follow aerospace manufacturing standards, safety procedures, and quality requirements.
- 3 to 5 years of CNC machining experience.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, work instructions, and travelers.
- Ability to perform tool changes, offsets, and basic CNC program edits.
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Experience machining materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel.
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to producing high-quality aerospace components.
- Ability to work in a structured manufacturing environment and follow AS9100, safety, and quality procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior aerospace or defense manufacturing experience.
- Experience working in an AS9100 quality environment.
- Strong setup experience on both CNC mills and CNC lathes.
- Experience machining difficult materials such as titanium and Inconel.
- Ability to troubleshoot machining issues and make accurate adjustments to maintain quality.
