Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Aerospace CNC Mill/Lathe Machinist to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machining centers and lathes in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience machining tight-tolerance aerospace components, reading blueprints, performing inspections, and maintaining high-quality standards in compliance with AS9100 requirements. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC Mills and/or CNC Lathes to manufacture precision aerospace components. Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions. Select and install tooling, fixtures, and cutting tools required for production. Edit CNC programs and make offsets as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy. Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring instruments. Utilize micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, indicators, and other inspection equipment. Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to optimize production efficiency. Maintain required production and quality documentation. Troubleshoot machining issues and identify corrective actions. Follow AS9100 quality standards, safety procedures, and company policies. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S principles. Qualifications 3+ years of CNC machining experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Experience operating CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, or both. Ability to read and interpret aerospace blueprints and GD&T. Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, and speeds. Experience machining aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and other aerospace materials. Ability to perform setups and make program edits at the machine. Proficient with precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Haas, Mazak, Mori Seiki, Okuma, Doosan, or similar CNC equipment. Knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace manufacturing standards. Experience with Mastercam or other CAM software. First Article Inspection (FAI) experience preferred. Familiarity with ERP systems and shop floor documentation.
