Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Plano, TX. This Machinist III role is ideal for a highly skilled manufacturing professional who can independently program, set up, operate, inspect, and troubleshoot precision machined components in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Program CNC machines using CamWorks and SolidWorks, with the ability to work from Mastercam or GibbsCAM experience as applicable.
- Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual lathes, and related machining equipment to produce precision parts.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, engineering sketches, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
- Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring tools.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, equipment, and quality issues to support efficient and accurate production.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $27 to $28 per hour.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
- Expected hours: 50 hours per week, including 10 hours of overtime.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Program, set up, and operate CNC machining equipment for precision manufacturing.
- Perform machine-side G-code edits and optimize programs as needed.
- Inspect machined parts to verify conformance with engineering and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot machining processes, tooling, materials, and equipment issues.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience programming CNC equipment using CAM software.
- Proficiency with CamWorks and SolidWorks preferred; Mastercam or GibbsCAM experience is acceptable.
- Working knowledge of G-code programming and light machine-side editing.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC and manual lathes.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, engineering specifications, and GD&T requirements.
- Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, feeds, speeds, and material properties.
- Ability to accurately use precision measuring and inspection equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and metalworking fluids.

Preferred Qualifications

- Advanced CNC programming experience.
- Experience with multi-axis machining operations.
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
- Experience communicating directly with suppliers and outside vendors.
