Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines to manufacture high-quality precision parts. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of blueprints, takes pride in craftsmanship, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Setup & Operation: Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, or routers) to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, and milling.
Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and job specifications.
Quality Control: Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure compliance with specifications and a zero-defect standard.
Maintenance: Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols, keep a clean workstation, and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
Optional: Load and optimize G-code/M-code programs if required for the level of role.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: [X] years of experience operating CNC machines (experience with specific controls like Haas, Fanuc, or Mazak is a plus).
Technical Skills: Ability to read blueprints and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Math Skills: Strong basic math skills (algebra, geometry, and converting decimals/fractions).
Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to [e.g., 50 lbs] and stand for extended periods.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a machinist apprenticeship or technical degree is highly preferred.
