We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for a direct hire opportunity in Everett, WA within the aerospace and defense manufacturing industry. The CNC Machinist will set up, operate, and maintain CNC mills, lathes, and related machining equipment to manufacture parts that meet customer specifications. Key Responsibilities

- Set up, program, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment to produce precision components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, work instructions, and customer specifications.
- Select tooling, fixtures, machine settings, feeds, and speeds to support efficient and accurate production.
- Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and CMM equipment when applicable.
- Monitor machine performance, troubleshoot machining issues, and make adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
- Maintain production records, perform routine machine maintenance, and follow all safety and manufacturing procedures.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining centers.
- Produce precision machined parts according to blueprints, technical drawings, and quality standards.
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using precision measuring tools.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and support continuous improvements in quality and efficiency.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant CNC machining experience preferred.
- Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machining centers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, engineering drawings, and technical work instructions.
- Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, indicators, gauges, and other precision inspection tools.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems effectively, and maintain attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Commitment to working safely around manufacturing equipment and machinery.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with CNC programming and editing G-code.
- Knowledge of Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, or similar CAM software.
- Experience with Haas, Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, Siemens, or similar CNC controls.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Trade school certification or formal machining training.
