A growing precision manufacturing team in Camarillo, CA is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Setup Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting medical, aerospace, and defense manufacturing. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and run CNC machining jobs on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
- Support machine shop management and programmers with production operations and process improvements.
- Set up and machine castings, hog-outs, and precision components to customer specifications.
- Work closely with Quality Control to verify parts meet engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and customer standards.
- Communicate technical information with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel.
- Maintain organized, safe, and detail-focused work practices throughout the production process.
Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation: $25 to $30 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Set up and operate CNC machining jobs in a precision manufacturing environment.
- Work with vertical and horizontal machining centers, including advanced CNC equipment.
- Interpret engineering specifications, GD&T callouts, and quality requirements.
- Troubleshoot setup, machining, and production issues to support efficient operations.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of CNC setup experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and safety.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Strong communication, organization, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. and meet ITAR requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- CNC programming experience, especially with HAAS machines.
- Experience using CAM software.
- Fixture design and fabrication experience.
- Lathe experience.
- Knowledge of AS9100 standards.
- Experience with 5-axis machining centers and pallet-changing systems.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
