We are seeking an experienced CNC Field Service Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Tempe, AZ. Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machinery, including machining centers, mills, lathes, and complex 5-axis machines.
- Perform machine leveling, alignment, preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and machine-down response to reduce customer downtime.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, controller, and software-related issues.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding arrival times, repair status, technical findings, and service completion.
- Complete accurate service documentation, repair reports, and follow-up notes after each service visit.
- Maintain company tools, service vehicle, equipment, and safety standards while staying current on new CNC technologies.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Service, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machinery in customer field environments.
- Perform preventative maintenance, machine alignment, leveling, and emergency repairs.
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and software issues.
- Document completed service work and communicate repair progress clearly with customers and internal teams.
- Minimum 3 years of experience servicing CNC machinery.
- Experience working with CNC machines, HAAS, Matsuura, Makino, Okuma, mills, lathes, or similar equipment.
- Working knowledge of FANUC and HAAS controllers.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, service documentation, and repair procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Strong customer service, communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Self-motivated, accountable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in field service environments.
- Strong critical thinking skills and willingness to continue learning new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Matsuura CNC machine service experience.
- Experience servicing complex 5-axis CNC machines.
- Multi-brand CNC service experience across HAAS, Makino, Okuma, Matsuura, mills, and lathes.
- Advanced troubleshooting experience with FANUC and HAAS controller systems.
