Job Summary
A growing organization in the furniture and construction industry is seeking a CAD Drafter with strong AutoCAD skills and hands-on knowledge of furniture construction. Key Responsibilities
- Review shop drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
- Modify, redline, and revise CAD drawings based on markups, client feedback, and project updates.
- Interpret construction drawings and apply knowledge of furniture construction to drafting work.
- Maintain organized project files, documentation, and drawing records.
- Coordinate timelines, communicate deadlines, and support cross-department project flow.
- Help ensure projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with client expectations.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Rate: $30.00 to $33.00 per hour.
- Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch.
- Health and dental insurance after 90 days upon hire.
- Holiday and vacation pay upon hire.
- 401(k) eligibility after one year upon hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Review and revise shop drawings for furniture and construction-related projects.
- Redline, modify, and interpret AutoCAD drawings based on specifications and client markups.
- Coordinate project documentation, deadlines, and drawing updates across departments.
- Support multiple active drafting projects while maintaining accuracy and organization.
- 3 to 4 years of CAD drafting experience.
- Strong AutoCAD skills, including redlining, drafting revisions, and interpreting construction drawings.
- Knowledge of furniture construction is required.
- Cabinetry experience is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Professional, proactive attitude with a positive team-oriented approach.
- Stable work history with consistent employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Chinese is a plus, but not required.
- Experience in furniture, cabinetry, millwork, or construction drafting environments.
- Hands-on understanding of furniture construction methods, materials, and shop drawing workflows.
