We are looking for an experienced Buyer/Planner with inventory experience. We are an expanding company with opportunities for growth! Duties include providing accurate and timely purchase order processing and ETA status updates while maintaining inventory control and compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Prepare purchase orders, solicit bid proposals, and review requisitions for goods and services.
Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action.
Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine the need for changes.
Maintain and review computerized or manual records of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance, and inventories.
Arrange the payment of duty and freight charges.
Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in relevant area such as supply chain management or business required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in sourcing or procurement in the manufacturing industry.
• Strong analytical/project management skills with Deliverable-focused, with strong work ethic.
• Bilingual (English/Cantonese) required.
• High-energy, self-motivated with a desire to excel in a multi-stakeholder environment.
• APICS (American Product and Inventory Control Society) supply chain certification a plus.
• Proficient in MS Suite and ERP-type software in managing the planning process required (NetSuite highly preferred).
