This is an exciting opportunity for a purchasing professional with experience in aerospace manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, or cable & wire component sourcing who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong purchasing and MRP experience, excellent supplier management skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally to ensure materials are available to support production and customer delivery commitments.

Key Responsibilities
Process purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of production materials.
Review MRP requirements and coordinate purchase order releases based on production schedules and customer demand.
Utilize ERP/MRP systems to generate, monitor, and update purchase orders.
Track open purchase orders, vendor confirmations, delivery dates, and shipment status.
Collaborate with Planning, Program Management, and Operations to resolve material shortages and schedule changes.
Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supplier agreements to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery expectations.
Monitor supplier performance and support corrective actions, including SCARs when required.
Evaluate obsolete inventory and identify alternative components or suppliers when appropriate.
Source new suppliers to improve cost, quality, and supply chain performance.
Monitor purchasing KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure data integrity within the ERP system.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of purchasing or buying experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems (M3 experience is a plus).
Strong understanding of material planning, procurement, and inventory management.
Excellent negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
