Procurement Assistant / Buyer (Temp-to-Hire)

Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexible)
Overview:
We’re looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Assistant / Buyer to manage purchasing activities, vendor coordination, and procurement processes. This role supports project and internal teams by ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, equipment, and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Issue and manage purchase orders (POs) and subcontracts
Review invoices and verify pricing accuracy
Negotiate with vendors for best pricing and availability
Track orders and ensure on-time delivery
Maintain vendor relationships and approved supplier lists
Support shipping, receiving, and inventory processes
Assist with warranty tracking and service coordination
Qualifications:
At least 3+ years in procurement/buying or related field
Strong Excel, Word, and data entry skills
Experience with purchasing systems (JDE, IFS, GP) is a plus
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
HVAC or construction industry experience preferred
Temp-to-hire opportunity with growth potential
