Responsible for managing all processes related to the importation of goods from other countries to Puerto Rico.
Identify and negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best quality and delivery terms. Monitor inventory and plan purchases based on forecasts and operational needs.
Prepare purchase orders and ensure the accuracy of recorded information.
Analyze purchasing data, market trends, and costs to optimize acquisitions.
Generate regular reports on supplier performance and associated costs.
Coordinate international transportation and logistics of goods, including the selection of routes and transportation methods.
Manage customs processes to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
Oversee necessary documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, certifications, and permits.
Maintain strong and effective relationships with national and international suppliers.
Evaluate and develop a reliable supplier database.
Collaborate with the Finance, Sales, Logistics, and Warehouse departments to ensure a smooth supply chain.
Participate in strategic meetings to align purchasing with organizational goals.
