We are seeking a high-impact Business Development Manager for U.S. Strategic Accounts and Retail Channel Development to drive new business growth within the consumer packaged goods manufacturing industry. This role focuses on expanding U.S. market presence by developing strategic customers across retail, consumer products, drinkware, hydration, outdoor, lifestyle, wellness, private label, and promotional channels. Key Responsibilities
- Identify, approach, and develop new strategic customers across U.S. markets, including retail channels, brand owners, private label opportunities, and corporate gifting channels.
- Build and manage a disciplined sales pipeline from prospecting through customer engagement, sample coordination, quotations, product development projects, and purchase orders.
- Develop target account strategies and outreach plans to engage founders, sourcing leaders, product teams, and other key decision-makers.
- Position the company as a value-driven global product solution partner by selling innovation, capability, service, and manufacturing expertise.
- Track market trends, retail activity, competitor movement, product launches, and emerging brands to identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with teams in the U.S., China, and Vietnam to translate customer requirements into execution plans and support product development and fulfillment processes.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $95,000 to $120,000 per year.
- Bonus opportunity: 15% to 20%.
- Direct hire position.
- On-site in Oxnard, CA when not traveling.
- Travel required, estimated up to 20% to 40% based on business needs.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Drive new business development across U.S. strategic accounts, retail channels, and consumer product markets.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and relationship development through commercial conversion.
- Lead customer meetings, presentations, sample coordination, quotations, and account development activities.
- Partner with global teams to support product development, sourcing, manufacturing coordination, and order execution.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, strategic account management, or B2B sales within consumer products, manufacturing, or a related industry.
- Proven success developing new customers, growing accounts, and converting opportunities into revenue.
- Experience working with retail channels, brand owners, sourcing organizations, or related customer groups.
- Strong understanding of product development, sourcing, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers.
- Strong negotiation, commercial acumen, pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting skills.
- Clear communication and presentation skills with the ability to represent capabilities professionally to customers.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with cross-functional and global teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- English required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in drinkware, hydration products, consumer goods, outdoor products, lifestyle products, wellness products, or similar categories.
- Familiarity with major retail and marketplace channels such as Costco, Target, Walmart, Amazon, REI, or similar accounts.
- Experience developing private label, licensed product, promotional product, or corporate gifting opportunities.
- Trade show, customer travel, and in-person strategic account development experience.
- Additional language skills are a plus.
