Business Development Consultant – Training Programs

Location: Downtown San Diego, CA (Hybrid)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)

We are seeking a driven and relationship-focused Business Development Consultant to generate leads and grow enrollment for professional training programs. This role is ideal for a sales professional who excels at selling services and programs, thrives on outbound outreach, and enjoys building long-term relationships with organizations and individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

-Generate and qualify leads for professional training programs
-Respond to all inbound training inquiries within 5 minutes
-Manage warm leads from website downloads, presentations, and events
-Execute a minimum of 50 daily outreach efforts via cold calling, email sequences, and social selling
-Track activity and performance using a CRM (SalesOptima, Salesforce, or similar)
-Meet weekly with leadership to review metrics, progress, and improvement areas
-Research conferences and submit proposals for speaking engagements
-Represent the organization professionally to clients, partners, and stakeholders

Qualifications:

-Minimum of 3 years of active sales experience (service-based sales required)
-Proven success building relationships and generating new business
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Self-directed with excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
-Proficiency with CRM systems and sales tracking tools
-Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field required
-Experience selling services, programs, or nonprofit offerings
