Brand Events Manager (Event Strategist)

Remote (NYC or Bay Area preferred)
$70–$90/hr
Contract through 12/31/2026

About the Role

We are hiring a Brand Events Manager (Event Strategist) to lead the planning and strategic execution of high-impact consumer and industry events.

This is not a production or logistics role.

We are looking for someone who defines the “why” behind the event experience — how events shape brand perception, drive attendance, and deliver measurable business outcomes.

You will translate strategy into structured execution across attendee experience, registration, marketing, and cross-functional alignment.

What You’ll Do
?? Event Strategy & Attendee Experience
Define end-to-end event strategy aligned to business and brand objectives
Design the attendee journey from invitation through post-event engagement
Partner with Creative and agency teams to bring experiential concepts to life
Ensure every touchpoint (flow, environment, signage, interaction) supports a cohesive experience

?? Registration & Attendance Strategy
Own event registration platforms (e.g., Swoogo, Cvent, or similar)
Manage RSVP tracking, segmentation, and attendance forecasting
Use registration data to inform capacity planning, staffing, and event operations
Develop RSVP nurture and conversion strategies to improve show rates

?? Event Marketing & Engagement
Partner with Marketing to drive event awareness and attendance
Support multi-channel promotion strategies across email, social, and paid campaigns
Analyze performance metrics including registration, conversion, and attendance trends

?? Cross-Functional & Compliance Collaboration
Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Marketing, CX, and internal stakeholders
Ensure all event communications and experiences meet regulatory requirements
Manage stakeholder alignment across fast-moving, cross-functional teams

?? Post-Event Insights & Optimization
Deliver post-event reporting and performance analysis
Translate insights into actionable recommendations for future events
Monitor industry trends and competitor experiences to inform strategy

What We’re Looking For (Must-Haves)
5+ years in event strategy, experiential marketing, or brand marketing
Experience in consumer-facing industries (tech, fintech, media, or lifestyle brands preferred)
Proven ownership of flagship or large-scale events
Experience managing registration platforms (Swoogo, Cvent, or similar)
Strong understanding of attendance forecasting and RSVP data analysis
Ability to translate business goals into structured event strategies
Experience working cross-functionally with senior stakeholders and executive teams
Comfortable working in regulated or compliance-heavy environments
