Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager for a direct hire opportunity with a full-service banking and consumer lending organization in San Jose, CA. This in-office leadership role is ideal for a banking professional with a strong background in branch operations, team development, deposit growth, client service, and regulatory compliance.
As Branch Manager, you will lead the daily success of a local bank branch while building a high-performing team, strengthening customer relationships, and supporting continued business growth. Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily branch operations, including staffing, coaching, performance management, customer service, sales activity, and compliance oversight.
- Hire, train, develop, and support branch team members through regular one-on-one meetings, coaching documentation, and ongoing performance feedback.
- Drive core deposit growth by developing and executing effective in-branch sales promotions and relationship-building strategies.
- Ensure branch activities comply with internal policies, banking procedures, operational controls, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Manage client issues proactively while fostering a welcoming, professional, and service-focused branch environment.
- Support community engagement efforts, promote CRA initiatives, and participate in local community activities.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $75,000 to $107,000 per year.
- Job type: Direct hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Lead branch operations, client service, employee development, sales growth, and operational compliance.
- Develop and execute branch sales strategies that support deposit growth and overall branch performance.
- Manage complex business and consumer banking relationships while ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
- Oversee audits, operational quality control, documentation, and compliance with banking regulations.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a branch banking environment.
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in a branch or similar financial services setting.
- Proven sales ability with documented success driving branch growth.
- Experience managing complex business and consumer accounts.
- Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and team development skills.
- Ability to resolve customer concerns professionally and proactively.
- Active involvement in local community organizations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking systems or banking programs.
- California driver’s license and insured vehicle required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience leading CRA-related community engagement or volunteer initiatives.
- Established business relationships or community presence in the San Jose market.
- Experience developing branch-level sales campaigns, deposit growth plans, or customer retention strategies.
