Job Summary

We are seeking skilled Brake Press Operators for a direct hire opportunity in Santa Ana, CA. This role is ideal for detail-oriented manufacturing professionals with 3 to 5 years of press brake, machine operation, or metal fabrication experience who take pride in producing accurate, high-quality parts.

Brake Press Operators will work in a production-focused metal fabrication environment where precision, safety, teamwork, and consistency are valued. Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate press brake machinery to produce parts according to work orders, drawings, and production requirements.
- Select, position, align, and secure dies in the machine ram and bed for accurate forming operations.
- Verify workpiece dimensions using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other inspection equipment.
- Adjust machine settings, ram pressure, die clearance, and related controls based on material thickness and specifications.
- Read blueprints, travelers, and job documentation to ensure accurate production and required updates.
- Identify and report defective materials, unusual conditions, machine issues, or faulty equipment to the supervisor.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $23 to $27 per hour.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
- Location: Santa Ana, CA 92705.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Set up and operate press brake machinery for metal fabrication production.
- Read blueprints and interpret drawings, travelers, and work instructions.
- Inspect parts and verify dimensions using precision measuring tools.
- Troubleshoot machine, material, and quality issues during production.

- 3 to 5 years of relevant machine operation, press brake, or manufacturing experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent relevant manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret production drawings.
- Experience using calipers, micrometers, measuring tape, and other inspection tools.
- Basic mathematical skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in different units of measurement.
- Understanding of production and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed, push up to 60 lbs as needed, and carry up to 20 lbs for short distances.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, load and unload material, and bend, kneel, squat, or walk as required.
- Willingness to work early or late shifts, overtime, weekends, and Saturdays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in metal fabrication, sheet metal forming, or welding-related production environments.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or drawing interpretation in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with quality procedures, inspection documentation, travelers, and production reporting.
- Ability to safely position workpieces manually or with crane assistance.
