Job Summary
We are hiring experienced Brake Press Operators for multiple direct hire openings in Santa Ana, CA. Candidates with brake press, sheet metal fabrication, or metal forming experience will have the chance to contribute to high-quality production while building long-term career stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate brake press machinery to bend, form, and fabricate sheet metal components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and production instructions.
- Measure and verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and other inspection tools.
- Perform quality checks to ensure finished parts meet customer, engineering, and tolerance requirements.
- Adjust machine settings, tooling, and material positioning to improve accuracy and production efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while meeting daily production goals.
Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $22 to $38 per hour, depending on experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills
- Set up and operate brake press equipment for sheet metal bending, forming, and fabrication.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and production instructions to produce parts to specification.
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools to confirm quality and tolerance requirements.
- Adjust tooling, machine settings, and material positioning to support accurate and efficient production.
- 3 to 5+ years of brake press, metal fabrication, or sheet metal manufacturing experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
- Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor machine or production issues.
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality, accuracy, and safety.
- Ability to work independently and manage production priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing or production environment.
- Familiarity with multiple brake press machines, tooling setups, or metal forming processes.
- Prior experience producing parts to tight tolerances for customer or engineering specifications.
