We are actively hiring 14 experienced Press Brake Operators (Level 2) for a growing manufacturing team in Santa Ana, CA. This role is ideal for candidates with recent, hands-on press brake experience who can work independently and contribute immediately in a fast-paced production environment.
Important: This is not an entry-level role. Candidates must have current, relevant experience and be able to hit the ground running with minimal supervision.
Schedule:
1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
Overtime may include:
Early start at 4:00 AM
Extended hours
Saturdays as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate press brake machinery to bend and form metal components
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and job travelers to ensure accurate production
- Select, align, and secure dies based on specifications
- Adjust machine settings, pressure, and clearances to meet material requirements
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and measuring tools
- Identify and troubleshoot issues related to materials, equipment, or production
- Maintain accurate job documentation and update production records
- Coordinate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
- Load, position, and unload materials manually or with equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Recent experience operating press brake machines is required
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures)
- Solid understanding of manufacturing and production processes
- Strong math skills (basic calculations and measurements)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Team player with good communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Requirements
- Must be able to meet ITAR compliance (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident)
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and push up to 60 lbs when needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks (bending, kneeling, lifting)
- Willingness to work overtime, early shifts, and weekends as needed
Preferred
- Bilingual Spanish (a plus, but not required)
- Experience with troubleshooting and machine adjustments
- Familiarity with shop safety and compliance standards
