Brake Press Operator – Metal Fabrication | Santa Ana, CA – onsite role in our fabrication facility
We are hiring a Brake Press Operator to join our precision metal fabrication team in Valencia, California. If you’re an experienced press brake technician with a passion for quality, safety, and craftsmanship, we want to hear from you!
Job Overview
As a Brake Press Operator, you’ll operate manual, CNC, and hybrid press brake machines to bend, form, and shape metal components to exact specifications. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced fabrication environment where attention to detail and technical skill are key.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Select and install punches, dies, and tooling for each job
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, angle gauges, and tape measures
- Work with various metals including aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel
- Ensure compliance with quality control standards and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating press brake equipment in a fabrication or manufacturing setting
- Strong understanding of CNC controls, machine load limits, and forming techniques
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Skilled in using precision measurement tools
- Knowledge of metal properties and forming behavior
