Brake Operator - Aerospace

Location: Santa Ana, CA
Shift: 1st shift - M-F 5 am-1:30pm, OT may be asked to start @4am or stay later, and work on Saturdays
Pay: $26-32/hr DOE
Required: Must meet ITAR (US Citizen or Permanent Resident), pass background and drug screen.

*VERY IMPORTANT: Candidates must have strong recent relevant experience, will not take entry level or someone who only did it years ago – their experience must be recent, and they must be able to hit the ground running & able to work independently, no time to train*

Job Summary: A Break Operator Level-2 is a successful candidate will be skilled with attention to detail and mechanical aptitude. You are responsible to accurately produce and operate machines, adjusting as required to troubleshoot and maintain quality and production requirements.


Responsibilities:
· Set up machinery for operation.
· Verifies dimensions of workpiece.
· Select, positions, and aligns dies in machine ram and bed.
· Turns setscrews or bolts to fasten clamp bar that holds dies in position.
· Turns adjustment screws to set specified pressure of ram and clearance between dies to thickness of metal, as indicated by calibrated scale.
· Positions workpiece manually or with crane, to align layout marks to dies.
· Detect and report defective material, unusual conditions, or faulty equipment to supervisor.
· Update travelers and input as required per job.
· Maintain work, storage area, machine, and related equipment in clean and orderly condition.
· Be able to read blueprints.
· Knowledge of measuring equipment (Caliper and micrometer).
· Troubleshoot issues.
