Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Bookkeeping Account Manager to join our team. This is a hybrid remote work position based on California’s Central Coast, with the ability to work from home while also collaborating in person as needed. Candidates must be located on the Central Coast or have the ability to drive to Ventura and Santa Barbara for occasional meetings and client support.

The role is responsible for reviewing client financials on a monthly basis, supporting the bookkeeping department in meeting monthly deadlines, and acting as a key liaison between clients and our CEO to ensure excellent client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Review & Oversight
• Review and analyze client financials on a monthly basis for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Provide recommendations for adjustments or improvements to ensure clients’ books remain up to date and reliable.
• Monitor financial reports to identify trends, discrepancies, or areas of concern.
Team & Department Support
• Assist the bookkeeping department in fulfilling monthly deadlines and deliverables.
• Ensure timely completion of reconciliations, reporting, and other critical bookkeeping tasks.
• Collaborate with the team to streamline processes and resolve any issues that arise.
Client Relationship Management
• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, fostering strong and positive relationships.
• Address client inquiries and ensure financial reports are clearly communicated and understood.
• Support the COO & CEO in enhancing the client satisfaction experience by providing proactive service and personalized support.
Qualifications
• 2–3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, with strong knowledge of financial statements and reconciliations.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with clients and collaborate effectively with the internal team.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and general office tools.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Located in the Central Coast area or willing to commute to Ventura and Santa Barbara as needed.
Preferred Skills
• Prior experience in a client-facing role.
• Background in small business accounting and advisory services.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
