Chesapeake, VA - Our client is seeking a reliable Treasurer / Bookkeeper to manage financial operations, payroll, and reporting in a mission-focused environment. This role is a wonderful long-term home for someone looking for a steady 30-hour workweek with excellent work–life balance and long-term vacation accrual. You’ll be a key member of a collaborative team supporting meaningful community work.

Responsibilities include managing all church finances—disbursing funds, reconciling bank statements, processing payroll, filing taxes, and preparing monthly and annual reports. You will also support budgeting, long-range planning, and audits while working closely with church leadership and the Finance Committee.

Candidates should have experience in bookkeeping, payroll, accounting, and bank reconciliation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and SharePoint is required, along with strong communication skills, accuracy, and confidentiality. Experience in a church or nonprofit setting is preferred.
