Job Summary

A growing financial services organization in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Bookkeeper & Operations Specialist for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys accurate bookkeeping, organized documentation, and variety in day-to-day work.

This is a strong opportunity to join a small, collaborative team in a highly regulated financial services environment where ownership, discretion, and initiative are valued. The right candidate will work closely with supportive team members, gain exposure to operational and compliance-related processes, and contribute to improving workflows as the business continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform daily and weekly bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with month-end close processes, including accruals, journal entries, and organized recordkeeping.
- Process information and complete data entry across multiple accounting, operational, and business systems.
- Support administrative projects related to new business initiatives, account openings, onboarding, filings, and registrations.
- Organize documentation for internal and external requests, including compliance, legal, and corporate recordkeeping support.
- Help document procedures, develop checklists, identify process improvements, and support standardized workflows.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $65,000 to $75,000 per year.
- Job type: Temp-to-hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end accounting support.
- Support operational projects, business documentation, entity filings, and account onboarding activities.
- Maintain accurate records, organized documentation, and supporting files for review and compliance needs.
- Assist with process documentation, workflow improvements, and cross-functional administrative support.

- 2+ years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience.
- Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or a similar accounting system.
- Strong understanding of bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and month-end procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and recordkeeping skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial and business information with discretion.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing responsibilities, and ask thoughtful questions when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in financial services, banking, investment services, accounting, or another regulated industry.
- Experience supporting administrative, compliance, or legal-related functions.
- Experience with business registrations, government filings, entity administration, or corporate records.
- Experience working with multiple accounting or operational systems.
- Experience with Zoho or similar business software.
- Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat or similar document-management tools.
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field.
- Mid-level to senior bookkeeping, accounting operations, or financial operations experience is a plus.
