Location: Camarillo, CA (initially for training 2-3 months) ? Sherman Oaks, CA (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)
Pay Rate: $30–$35 per hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper / Human Resources professional to support a newly formed subsidiary . This role is a 60% bookkeeping / 40% HR position and plays a key part in establishing accurate financial records and compliant HR processes as the business grows.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and comfortable wearing multiple hats in a small, fast-paced environment.


Bookkeeping:
* Manage daily bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online (Intuit Enterprise a MUST)
* Reconcile CRM activity to bank transactions and deposits
* Support audits and maintain clean, accurate financial records
* Process accounts payable and assist with general ledger upkeep
* Partner with leadership on financial reporting and accuracy

Human Resources:
* Handle hiring, onboarding, terminations and employee records
* Support recruiting, offer letters, and compliance documentation
* Administer payroll and HR processes using Gusto
* Support benefits administration and employee questions
* Ensure compliance with employment laws and HIPAA requirements
* Maintain HRIS data accuracy and documentation
* Provide general office support (supplies, office needs, coordination)

Qualifications

* Proven experience in bookkeeping and HR administration
* Strong knowledge of payroll, compliance, and benefits
* High attention to detail and confidentiality
* Comfortable supporting audits and background checks
* **SHRM and/or HRIS certification a plus**
* Ability to adapt in a growing, evolving organization
