Job Summary

A growing entertainment organization in Los Angeles is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support its finance team on a temporary basis. This Bookkeeper role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys transactional accounting, accurate recordkeeping, and supporting month-end close activities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This opportunity offers the chance to work with a supportive finance team, learn established accounting processes, and contribute to the daily financial operations of an entertainment-focused business. The right candidate will be dependable, organized, and comfortable partnering across departments while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

- Process accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoice coding, matching, approval routing, payment preparation, and vendor record maintenance.
- Manage accounts receivable tasks, including customer invoicing, cash receipt application, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
- Enter, update, and maintain accurate financial data in accounting systems and spreadsheets.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, AP, and AR accounts while researching and resolving discrepancies.
- Support general ledger activities, including basic journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end close tasks and maintain organized financial documentation in accordance with internal controls.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $28.00 to $33.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Job Type: Temporary contract, expected duration of 2 to 3 months.
- Possible conversion for the right fit.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
- Location: Los Angeles, CA 90023.



Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
- Complete account reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist with general ledger entries and month-end close activities.
- Collaborate with finance and internal teams to gather information and resolve accounting questions.

- 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or transactional accounting.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and how transactions flow through the general ledger.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using an ERP or accounting software system.
- Strong data entry accuracy, attention to detail, and financial recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to learn new processes quickly and work independently after training.
- Excellent organizational, time management, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential financial information with professionalism and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

- Associate degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.
- Experience with Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or similar accounting systems.
- Experience preparing journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Prior accounting experience in entertainment, venues, theatres, or another fast-paced industry.
