A growing organization in the wholesale trade and import-export industry is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations in Los Angeles, CA. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a reliable, detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys managing AP, AR, reconciliations, collections, and accurate financial documentation in a fast-paced business environment.

The Bookkeeper will play an important role in keeping financial transactions organized, timely, and accurate. This is a strong opportunity for someone who can work independently, communicate effectively with internal teams and customers, and quickly adapt to established accounting processes. Key Responsibilities

- Process accounts payable, including reviewing, coding, and entering invoices, as well as preparing payments.
- Manage accounts receivable functions, including customer invoicing, payment application, and account updates.
- Perform collections activities by following up on outstanding balances and maintaining accurate customer account records.
- Reconcile accounts and review financial data to help ensure accurate and complete bookkeeping records.
- Maintain organized, current, and audit-ready financial documentation.
- Assist with month-end close tasks and related accounting support as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $65,000 to $73,000 per year.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Manage daily bookkeeping activities across accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, and reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and organized accounting documentation.
- Support month-end close activities and communicate with internal teams and external customers.
- Use Office Master System and Microsoft Excel to process, organize, and review accounting data.

- 6 to 10 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience.
- Working knowledge of Office Master System, OSM, is required.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, basic reporting, and data organization.
- Strong understanding of AP, AR, collections, account reconciliations, and general bookkeeping procedures.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently, learn processes quickly, and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a wholesale trade, import-export, distribution, or inventory-based business environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with strong ownership of assigned accounting responsibilities.
- Comfort collaborating with internal departments, external customers, and vendor contacts.
