Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper for a flexible opportunity in Santa Barbara or Ventura, CA, supporting the financial operations of a business office. The Bookkeeper will manage day-to-day bookkeeping functions, reconciliations, reporting, vendor payments, and financial documentation. Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate financial records, general ledger entries, account summaries, and supporting documentation.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoices, vendor payments, and expense tracking.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, financial statements, and related records on a regular basis.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting, cash flow tracking, and reserve fund monitoring.
- Coordinate with CPA and tax professionals to support tax preparation, reporting, and compliance needs.
- Monitor timely payment of bills, taxes, insurance obligations, and assist with special projects as requested.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay range: $25 to $40 per hour DOE.
- Schedule: Part-time, flexible hours.
- Compensation is dependent on experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records and general ledger activity for a residential property and business office.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and monthly reporting.
- Track expenses, invoices, vendor payments, budgets, and cash flow.
- Coordinate financial documentation and reporting support with CPA and tax professionals.

- 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- QuickBooks experience required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with professionalism.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
