Part-Time Bookkeeper – Payroll & Accounting (QuickBooks | WA Payroll)

About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support payroll and day-to-day accounting operations. This role requires strong QuickBooks experience and working knowledge of Washington State payroll processing and compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on bookkeeping, accurate data entry, and supporting a structured accounting function on a part-time schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Process and manage Washington State payroll in compliance with state regulations
Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Compile, organize, and reconcile financial data
Prepare payroll tax filings and WA state reporting
Maintain general ledger and journal entries
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Generate basic financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, etc.)
Assist with administrative accounting tasks as needed
What We’re Looking For
Proven bookkeeping or accounting support experience
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
Knowledge of Washington State payroll and tax compliance
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
Proficiency in Excel and basic accounting systems
Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines
Reliable, organized, and process-oriented
Preferred Qualifications
Associate degree or coursework in Accounting or Finance
Experience with small to mid-sized businesses
Familiarity with WA labor and payroll regulations
