We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-Time Accountant to support a non-profit organization during medical leave. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, experienced in full-cycle accounting, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Payroll Administration: Process biweekly payroll for 30 employees using Gusto (training provided); manage timesheets, deposits, and payroll tax filings
• Fund Accounting & Grant Tracking: Monitor restricted and unrestricted funds and ensure compliance with grant requirements
• General Ledger Maintenance: Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage vendor payments, invoicing, donor contributions/pledges, and collections
• Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation: Reconcile all accounts and ensure accuracy in QuickBooks Desktop Pro
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheets and P&L reports
• Month-End Close & Audit Preparation: Assist with reconciliations, audit documentation, and 1099 preparation

Required Qualifications
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills

• QuickBooks Desktop Pro (required – not QuickBooks Online)
• SharePoint (file and project management)
• Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with Google Sheets

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting (preferred but not required)
