Newport News, VA - Our client, a well-established property management firm, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support their property management division. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in a structured, team-oriented environment and is seeking long-term growth.
In this role, you will manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, maintain accurate ledgers, complete reconciliations, and support year-end processes including 1099 and income and expense reporting. You will handle high-volume data entry, ensure accuracy, meet deadlines, and collaborate with internal teams, vendors, residents, and property owners. Prior bookkeeping experience with HOAs is highly preferred.
The ideal candidate has strong bookkeeping skills and formal training in accounting or finance, along with hands-on A/R and A/P experience. You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with Yardi is a plus, and training is available.
