Our client is looking for a detail-driven, highly organized Bookkeeper to join our team in Seattle. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a structured environment, and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records. You’ll play a key part in keeping our financial operations running smoothly and ensuring leadership has reliable data to make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
Reconcile bank, credit card, and merchant accounts
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow tracking
Manage payroll processing and related filings (if applicable)
Support year-end closing and coordinate with external accountants or CPAs
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
Organize and maintain digital and physical financial documentation
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve financial accuracy
Qualifications
2–5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
Strong understanding of GAAP principles
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Comfortable working independently and collaborating with a team
Bonus: Experience in Seattle-based industries such as tech, retail, hospitality, or professional services
Preferred Skills
Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
Experience with payroll platforms (Gusto, ADP, Paychex, etc.)
Familiarity with Washington State tax requirements
Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors, clients, and internal teams
