This position can be FT or PT. Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a fantastic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing comprehensive financial reports, managing our accounting processes, and ultimately leading our transition from Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP) to QuickBooks Online. Key responsibilities include completing month-end and year-end close processes, preparing financial statements such as profit & loss, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, assisting with inventory management and purchasing, and leveraging analytical skills for budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis. You will also streamline bookkeeping related to e-commerce and marketplace transactions, oversee a bookkeeping assistant managing accounts payable and receivable, process payroll via ADP, and prepare and file tax documents in coordination with our external CPA. Additionally, you will maintain financial procedures and policies ensuring secure handling of sensitive financial data. A crucial part of this role will be leading the setup and migration to QuickBooks Online, coordinating with inventory software implementers to ensure accurate accounting of inventory, sales, returns, and cost of goods sold, and creating new accounting processes to optimize operations. The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience), at least three years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics GP and QuickBooks Online, experience with QuickBooks setup and data migration, and familiarity with inventory management systems such as Cin7 and e-commerce accounting tools like A2X. Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of GAAP and basic tax regulations are essential.
