Responsible for the accuracy and reconciliation of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, expense reports, and overall responsibility for month end closing procedures and financials.
Responsibilities: • Manage payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner, and submit payroll taxes • Implement and maintain applicable record keeping and filing systems • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner • Perform cash management functions including POS reconciliation to QuickBooks, deposits, and other banking duties • Perform all accounts payable functions, including weekly and monthly cash requirements projections • File and pay State, City and County sales and revenue taxes • Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data • Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards Experience: • 3-5 years relevant experience working in accounting, bookkeeping and record keeping • Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Proficient skills in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and Word. • Experience with payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and an ability to work unsupervised
